I am passionate about building collaborative partnerships to deliver creative real estate solutions. My broad experience in asset management, property management, innovation and technology allows me to find opportunities for adding value and then develop strategic plans to work across stakeholder groups and ensure successful results.
Nothing remains static in the commercial real estate industry. Market conditions and cycles change, as well as the sentiments of owners, tenants and investors. Technologies and systems are always evolving, and buildings themselves have a constant need of maintenance, repairs and upgrades.
To address these dynamic challenges and opportunities, I believe the highest priorities are to ask the right questions and build the right teams. Taking a thoughtful approach to understanding the perspectives of owners, investors, operators, vendors and tenants allows for productive engagements to understand:
What is needed?
Why is it needed?
What are the options?
How will it happen?
Is it worthwhile?
This may sound overly simple, though in my experience the answers to these questions vary significantly depending on who is asked and the set of priorities and options at any given time. The key is to listen closely, align interests, confirm a plan, build momentum and follow through at all levels.
I have had the pleasure of following the steps above with many amazing people throughout my career. It has been exciting to deliver valuable improvements across multiple real estate sectors at the property, portfolio and enterprise levels for real estate companies both large and small. From traditional projects such as capital improvements, construction, leasing and budgeting to newer priorities such as creating ESG programs, flexible office portfolios, tenant experience, data / process optimization and cybersecurity, it is always worthwhile to build great teams and incorporate innovative techniques.
